RM Recruit are proud to be working with a dynamic Warwick based not-for-profit organisation who are on the lookout for a bright, well-experienced Purchase Ledger Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client is able to offer a flexible, hybrid working arrangement with the office presence set at three times per week and the rest working from home.

As the successful candidate, you will manage and provide direction to the Purchase Ledger Team. You will be a confident communicator, accomplished in leading a small team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the purchase/sales ledger function, including processing invoices, raising invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of transactional clerks, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure high performance and productivity. Carrying out team induction, probation and annual or other performance reviews.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and streamline purchase ledger processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance overall effectiveness.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, resolving any issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to the purchase ledger, providing insights and recommendations to management as required.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing the purchase ledger function, implementing controls as necessary to mitigate risks.
  • Systems Management: Utilise accounting software and other tools to manage the purchase ledger efficiently, implementing best practices for data management and reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a similar role showcasing brilliant leadership skills. AAT Qualification is highly advantageous for the role, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. The ability to manage and prioritise workload is essential for the role along with strong organisational skills with an eye for detail. Clear effective management skills are also essential for this position along with a flexible and positive attitude towards work.
