We are delighted to be working with our client who is a leading supplier of specialised diesel-driven, alternative, and sustainable power systems, equipment, and services to a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, marine, renewables, mining, agriculture, and construction.

This role will be based onsite in Great Yarmouth.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client a self-starting -Business Development Specialist.

Focusing on driving new sales supporting Service, Parts and OE and strategic projects. Establishing new prospects, client and contact that supports business revenue growth.

Our client has an international reputation for high quality design, manufacture, and servicing of a wide range of hazardous area equipment, particularly well service nitrogen pumps, specialist skids, coil tubing and compressor units for the offshore industry, they also service and repair diesel-driven power systems and are a multi-dealer distributor of engines, pumps and well service products and spare parts.

Following onboarding, training, and having a full working knowledge of PPS (3-6 months). The successful candidate will be expected to travel extensively (50%+) to build client relationships and convert opportunities to orders.

Duties & Responsibilities

   Circa. 100% of your time on Service & Parts business development.

• Achieve the company set KPIs on plan performance, sales and profitability.

• Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings

• Daily responsibility and management of CRM System – MS Dynamics

• Source new opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls.

• Research markets, applications, and competition accounts to identify key players and generate

opportunities.

• Maintain and expand PPS database of prospects and convert to trading accounts.

• Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with customers in the oil and gas industry.

• Works towards being a Product-line Champion – Service & Parts

• Team with agents and partners to build pipeline and close deals where applicable.

• Report weekly – new opportunities, clients, project updates etc (format to be agreed)

• Generate incremental sales of Service, Parts & OE product lines and forecast accordingly.

• Identify diverse markets, applications, and product lines to support business growth.

• Ownership of weekly sales meeting to ensure forecasting is correct.

• Ensure monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets are met and understood.

• To engage in any other activities requested by the GSM / SMT

• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and PPS policies.

• Arranging all travel sign off in line with company procedure.

• Ability to travel / Customer facing  50%+

Qualifications

  • 0-5 years O&G experience, Engineering, or similar field Experience (desirable)
  • Experience in nitrogen / industrial market / marine / Agricultural (desirable)
  • Proven experience in Sales and Business Development with aspirational goals
  • Experience in negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent technical oilfield equipment knowledge - Desirable
  • Knowledge of the pipeline and process services market including service companies, end customers (Desirable)
  • Ability to travel c50% of the time.
  • Self-starter who can complete deliverables with basic guidance.
  • Ability to liaise and connect with a wide variety of cultures and markets.
  • Well organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player with high level of dedication
  • Good Computer Skills (MS Office)
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages not required but will be a plus.
  • Ability to lead indirectly and influence within the organization.
