Specification Manager (Remote Working).

M4 Corridor – Covering areas including Swindon, Reading, Basingstoke, Slough & Oxford.

Industry – Manufactured products for the construction industry.

Salary - c£60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

Package Details: Bonus (15%), Company Car or Car Allowance, Pension (6% employer contribution), Holidays - 25+8 (BH), Life Assurance (3x salary), Laptop/Ipad/Phone, extensive ongoing product training.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm).

Experiencing a buoyant market for their products, a manufacturing business at the forefront of their industry are seeking a motivated Specification Manager to join their team. Operating for almost 100 years and with multiple global sites, this business has built a fantastic reputation for technical excellence through the provision of bespoke engineering solutions for the construction market!

Working within a knowledgeable, experienced Sales/Specifications team this role encompasses the creation and development of project specifications for the company’s product range. This role will suit a candidate who has strong specifications experience within the construction industry!

Role Description.

  • Create specifications for the product portfolio.
  • Develop an even spread of solutions specified projects across sales area.
  • Working with key decision-makers and influencers to develop relationships to generate new leads and specifications.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and requirements, ensuring you are the preferred partner.
  • Work with Supply Chain Partners and their design teams to generate leads and specifications for the product portfolio.
  • Work with the UK Commercial Team to inform, track and record outcome of specified projects.
  • Presenting CPDs to Architects Interior Designers.
  • Daily usage of Salesforce CRM system to record all specification activity.
  • Prepare and issue specification documentation to specifiers for projects where products are specified.
  • Report on the effectiveness of Specification related events attended.

Skills and Qualifications.

  • Strong specification sales experience.
  • Experience within the manufacturing/construction industry.
  • Understanding of NBS Chorus & BIM Objects.
  • Knowledge of using a CRM system.
  • Strong communication and customer facing experience.
  • Happy to work within a purely remote context (infrequent office visits).
