For example, almost all pupils move to further education or training when they leave.

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualised support plans that promote emotional well-being and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Develop and implement personalised support plans for students.
* Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to students.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support plans and interventions.
* Deliver training and workshops for staff on SEMH issues and strategies.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
* Stay updated on best practices and developments in SEMH.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Education, Military, Security or a related field.
* Relevant certification or licensure in SEMH support.
* Experience working with children and adolescents with SEMH needs.
* Strong understanding of SEMH issues and evidence-based intervention strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Organisational skills and attention to detail.
