About the role:

Are you passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder? Join our dynamic team as an SEN-TA and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students. This role has become available to meet the growing needs of our student body, and we’re seeking a dedicated professional to join our team.

The role involves providing specialised support and interventions to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with autism, within a Year 1 setting. This full-time position, starting in September, emphasises continuous provision and small group learning outside the classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with a teacher and two other adults to support approximately five children, ensuring a collaborative and effective learning environment.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

• Strong understanding of ASD strategies and interventions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in special education or related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering targeted interventions and support to small groups of SEN students, with a focus on those with autism.

• Implementing continuous provision strategies to maintain a supportive learning environment outside the classroom.

• Regularly assessing student progress and adapting interventions to meet individual needs

• Collaborating with the class teacher and other staff members to ensure cohesive support for the students.

• Utilising tailored strategies to support the learning and development of students with autism.

• Communicating effectively with all team members to provide comprehensive support.
