SEN Teaching Assistant

Location- Coventry, CV1 |Daily Rate- £85 -£100 | Start Date- 02/09/2024.

Hours- Full Time (Term Time Only) | Contract- Long Term to Permanent

LTF Recruitment are searching for nurturing, caring and patient SEN Teaching assistants for the new academic year, working with one of our partner schools in central Coventry. We have two roles 1:1 role based in Reception working with children with ASD who are preverbal and require support in the classroom and with personal care. The roles are offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become a permanent position at the school.

The Ideal candidate will have:

• Level 2/3 supporting teaching and learning in schools or relevant qualification required.
• Strong experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis.
• Have experience of supporting SEN (Complex ASD, Speech & Language Delay)
• A good team player be able to work with other staff and under direction of class teacher.
• Knowledge of maintaining and updating and reviewing progress of EHCPS
• Understand Makaton, PECS, BSL
• Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
