White Label Recruitment is proud to be working with a global design and manufacturing business in their search for a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer.

Reporting to the Global Design Manager, the Senior Project Engineer is primarily responsible for the creation of innovative and commercially attractive designs for new and bespoke products.

The Role:

• Create new product designs using Solidworks to achieve the required objectives and standards for both the company and the customer to maximise the probability of success.
• Work directly with external customers and contractors – maintain and contributing to the company’s professionalism and core values
• Ensure the successful realisation of the product into manufacture. (Concept to SOP).
• Good communication skills. (inc strong presentation skills for face to face meetings, phone and video conferencing. The SPE is expected to lead project group meetings with internal and external teams).
• Domestic and international travel as required for regular Sales and Engineering joint customer meetings.
• The role is 10% sales, 30% project management/engineering and 60% design dutiesw

The Person:

• HND or degree qualified in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering with design if not open to people with qualifications in Product Design
• Experience plastic/injection moulded product design using 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks & PDM) will be very advantageous
• Competence in the design of small mechanisms or similar.
• Competence in the design of production jigs and fixtures.
• Competence in designing for manufacture, assembly and for quality with skills in failure prevention. (A knowledge of Ansys FEA and Moldflow desirable).
• Experience in high level of customer/client contact and interaction

Salary & Benefits:

• £35,000 - £55,000 (Dependent on experience)
