A successful, modern and expanding company within professional services are looking for an Administrator to join their close-knit HR team based in St Albans.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join an established and professional company in the heart of St Albans. The company offer a friendly and supportive working environment!

This role will suit an experienced Administrator with excellent attention to detail who is looking for a long-term administration position.

Key responsibilities for the Administrator:

  • Assist with the administration of day-to-day HR operations of the HR functions
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR Director and other members of the team
  • To accurately maintain electronic employee records for personnel files
  • To assist in completing employee reports for Management Committee, Managers and Partners
  • Drafting a variety of contracts relevant to prospective employees
  • Processing of new starters and leavers
  • Setting up inductions and liaising with relevant Managers and Departments.
  • Assistance and administration of exit interviews
  • Liaise with the employment reference checking service
  • Produce standard letters/changes to contracts when necessary
  • Assist with the compilation of statistical information for annual returns and monthly reports
  • Assist in the preparation of paperwork for annual appraisal process
  • Childcare vouchers processing and recording for payroll
  • Co-ordinate work experience student placements
  • Respond to reference requests for ex-employees
  • Help with managing employee absence - Listen to messages and advise relevant managers, departments, staff of absence
  • Managing the Benefit portal and Medicash

For this Administrator role the employer is looking for:

  • 5 years + administration experience
  • Microsoft Outlook - good working knowledge
  • Able to deal confidently and effectively with staff and partners
  • Organised, able to multitask and meet deadlines calmly
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Hands on, flexible and proactive
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude
