Antenna Designer

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: Negotiable DOE

The Opportunity

As part of the Electronic Engineering function, your role will be to create, analyse, and prototype designs that meet challenging customer requirements within the constraints of limited physical space and harsh operating environments.

This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills within a multi-disciplined team, including RF Engineers, Systems Engineers, Firmware and Software Developers, and Digital Electronic Design Engineers. You'll also have the chance to collaborate with other areas of the business, providing a fantastic opportunity to develop both your knowledge and your professional network.

What We're Looking For:

Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) with a bias towards Radio Frequencies or Antenna design, and substantial experience in the following areas:

  • RF/Microwave Antenna Design in demanding environments
  • Design, simulation, and layout using HFSS
  • Complex Antenna Array simulations/optimisation using HPC/cluster
  • Antenna testing and trials in an anechoic chamber
  • Diagnosing Antenna issues using various methods, such as visual inspection and data analysis in design
  • Understanding manufacturing techniques, capabilities, and constraints
  • Using vector network analysers and other test equipment
  • Appreciating mechanical design and module packaging
  • Appreciating mixed signal board techniques
