A global manufacturer of high technology, electro-mechanical products are currently recruiting a Demand Analyst to work at their site in Fareham.

This opportunity reports to the Supply Chain Manager and plays a pivotal role in building and managing the relationship between the global sales team and supply chain. This is a highly analytical role that uses historical data and trends to create accurate forecasts for product demand.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Drive the Sales and operations planning monthly cycle from data gathering to Executive review
  • Create regional and global Demand Forecasts in the demand planning tools at both detail and aggregated level
  • Using market inputs, historical data, planned sales activities and regional forecasts to maximise service levels while minimizing inventory
  • Liaise and be the first line of contact with the Product Managers to ensure New Product Introductions and Product Retirements are captured within the Demand Forecast
  • Carrying out analysis of sales history, seasonal and forthcoming events or activities in order to generate an optimal demand forecast

The ideal person for this position will have Demand Forecasting experience gained within a manufacturing, retail or distribution environment. Strong analytical skills are essential for this role as is experience of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Recent experience of running a sales and operations planning cycle is ideal.

The position is based on site 4 days a week with an option for 1 day a week remote. The benefits include Annual Bonus, 25 days holiday, private healthcare, electric car scheme, life assurance and company pension up to 9%.
