Exciting Engineering Machine Operative Opportunity at a Forward-Thinking Company


Are you an experienced engineering professional looking for a new challenge? Acorn by Synergie have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Operative to join their client's dynamic team, working on a prestigious Formula One contract.

Enjoy a work schedule of 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and a 1pm finish on Fridays!

Salary: £25,000 per annum plus two bonuses a year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of your work.
  • Operate various production machines, including Barwell preform cutters, milling machines, and manual lathes.
  • Prepare materials such as metals and PTFE, including masking, shot blasting, and degreasing.
  • Mix and apply bonding agents and RTV silicone, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Set up and operate moulding presses, including compression and transfer moulding.
  • Handle finishing tasks such as trimming, sealing, and assembling components.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and Quality procedures throughout all processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Competence in using various machines and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good dexterity and the ability to handle small components with precision.
  • Understanding of foreign object defects and their prevention.
