Interim HRA Accountant

Vivid are working with a Local Authority in Greater Manchester to recruit an Interim HRA Accountant. This role will include:
- The preparation of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) annual statement of accounts
- Developing and maintaining financial models for service charge reviews and the HRA Business Plan
- Managing the annual housing rent setting process and conducting reviews of tenant's service charges to ensure fairness and affordability
- Supporting the council's financial strategy by contributing to the preparation of HRA budgets for the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) review
The contract is for six months with the potential to be extended further. The role also offers a hybrid working arrangement. They require:
- Have experience in supporting the preparation of HRA budgets for the council's annual Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS)
- 3+ years local authority experience
- A qualified accountant
