The company
UK leading Stockist and Distributor of Plastics and related materials, based in Manchester. They are a market leader in the Sign and Display, Industrial and Engineering, Building and Construction and Retail and Commercial markets; offering an extensive range of products and services.

The role
To maintain and expand sales and profit from an assigned sales sectors; identify and develop key and target accounts and assist colleagues to achieve the same from their areas of responsibility

Job Responsibilities

  • To maintain a pro-active call out programme to accounts within their territory and record the outcome of these calls on the telemarketing system
  • To decide with the STL/PCM and External Sales Representative key and target accounts for the sales sector and agree methods to obtain the business and reporting procedures to monitor the level of business at these accounts
  • In conjunction with the ESR and STL/PCM to manage their sales territory so as to achieve budgeted sales and profit
  • To develop contacts and relationships with customers
  • Develop and agree methods to obtain additional new business. Proactively seek out new opportunities and follow up initial sales leads
  • To develop contacts and relationships with customers that ensure we are first choice when placing orders.
  • To promptly contact all leads supplied and report the response to these calls to the ESR/STL/PCM
  • To hold monthly meetings with the ESR to discuss your accounts activity
  • To understand the properties and applications of the Company's product range
  • To be aware of competitive activity and to report changes in the marketplace


Skills and experience

  • Experience with a CRM system
  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Sales background
  • Motivated and target driven
  • Experience of speaking to clients over the phone and e-mail
