Recruitment Administrator

Our client delivers government funding schemes to support councils, schools, housing associations, hospitals, and universities to boost their energy efficiency, reduce their impact on the environment, save money, and remove households from fuel poverty. We work with the UK government and the devolved administrations in Scotland and Wales, providing professional advice, expertise, and support to grant recipients throughout all stages of their projects.

 As a Recruitment Administrator, you'll play a key role in analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting strategic initiatives. Your work will contribute to shaping sustainable and thriving communities in alignment with our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with key stakeholders (hiring managers, HR, budget holders) to identify and action recruitment needs in line with budget and organizational needs.
  • Develop and get sign-off on all recruitment paperwork (RAF, interview notes, interview panels & appointment forms).
  • Work with hiring managers and stakeholders to develop job descriptions and contribute to sensible, mindful role outputs and person specifications.
  • Coach, inform, and advise hiring managers and others on best practice recruitment processes, internal processes, and current market data.
  • Collaborate with recruitment agencies and external and internal channels to feed the internal and external applications and talent pipeline.
  • Work with the communication team to create our Employer Value Proposition, recruitment literature, and employer branding.
  • Maintain related paperwork and work in line with internal and external legislation, requirements, and policies.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience leading recruitment processes within a similar environment.
  • Experience in building and delivering recruitment plans, job adverts, and recruitment communications.
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes, including advert creation, recruitment and selection, interviewing, and scoring.
  • Experience in scoring, providing feedback, and managing candidates.
  • Knowledge of the recruitment market and ability to translate this to stakeholders and to provide actionable feedback.
  • Ability to create Management Information data related to recruitment, selection, and retention.
  • Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills..
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
