A primary school based in Northampton has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join their team as of September. This is a full time role with a strong opportunity for a permanent contract.

As the successful Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis with Autism and Speech and Language Communication needs. This will be within Early Years and KS1.

As part of this role you will need;

  • To build a strong rapport with pupils.
  • Manage triggers.
  • Have up to date knowledge on the UK national curriculum.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with effective de-escalation techniques.
  • Resilience and a passion for SEN.
