Technical Writer
Birchwood/Hybrid
12 Month Contract
Up to £20.50 PAYE - £27.50 Umbrella an hour
We’re looking for a Parts Technical Writer to join our client, a world leader in construction & mining equipment.
Daily tasks for the Parts Technical Writer will include:
- Interpreting and transforming upstream engineering / technical information and creating master service parts
- Transform 3D/JT Models into 2D Illustrations
- Work with engineering, marketing, and commercial teams to provide service information support
Skills and experience the Parts Technical Writer will need:
- Engineering background - any roles where you read & understood technical drawings
- Experience managing Bills of Material within a BOM/parts listing application
- Excellent analytical skills: large proportion of time will be spent transforming engineering/technical data into service information
- Excellent communication skills
- An eye for detail with excellent quality and work standards
The below would be an advantage but not essential:
- Familiar with engine components
- Experience of using SAP ERP systems
- Use of Technical Authoring or Product Lifecycle package e.g., Windchill.
- Use of illustration software, e.g., IsoDraw
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
