Description

• Responsible for accurate cost reporting, including Forecast, Value of Work Done and Commitments against approved Budget.
• Responsible for set up, control, reporting
• Ensure accurate monthly accruals submitted to Finance.
• Ensure shared costs are re-allocated as appropriate, for recharge to partners.
• Provide robust variance analysis.
• Identify and support opportunities for cost efficiencies whilst maintaining safety and integrity.
• Support annual budget build for relevant Budget area.
• Monitor, review and advise on key vendor cost performance.
• Lead and drive budget meetings with budget holders.
• Champion compliance with supply chain and R2P processes
• Participate in all appropriate internal and supplier meetings
• Deputise for Cost Engineering Lead as required.

Profile

A successful Cost Controller should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a cost control role within the energy and natural resources industry.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software.
• A solid understanding of financial regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• An detail-oriented approach to work.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
