Cook/Chef - Cirencester

Burrito Mama is the latest cutting edge restaurant in Cirencester, the heart of the cotswolds. A family run business, Burritos became our thing back in 2020 when we started serving them from our mother site, The Gilbertine Kitchen in Poulton. We quickly realised there was a love of Mexican cuisine and a lack of exciting independent street food in our local area.. And so Burrito Mama was born.

Starting as a humble food truck, we have developed into a busy high street restaurant and takeaway, serving hundreds of hungry customers every week. Not just for the meat eaters, our inclusive menu has something for everyone. From dairy and gluten free, to various vegan and vegetarian options, our diverse offering means there’s a dish to be enjoyed for all the family.

Burrito Mama is looking for a line cook to help run our high street kitchen in the heart of the cotswolds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mexican/South American cuisine, an excellent knowledge of food and experience in a commercial kitchen environment.

The duties and requirements for this Line Cook position are as follows:

• Follow the head chefs prep lists to a high standard
• Serving food quickly & efficiently
• Keep excellent food hygiene practices
• Create a positive work environment for all staff in line with the company’s social policies.

The requirements for a line cook are as follows:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
• Passion for food.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
