EA to Headteacher

We are currently recruiting for a EA to Headteacher; 
We are looking to appoint a proactive and highly-skilled Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive and strictly confidential support service to the Headteacher, to ensure smooth running of the Headteacher’s office.
Full time; £(phone number removed) 
Could consider term time only as well- £42,45,000 
This role is to start immediately; could consider candidates with a short notice period 1-2 weeks. 


WHO WILL YOU BE WORKING FOR?
Our client is an all Boys School with a mixed Sixth Form based in Central London- Old Street 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?


You will be responsible for providing high quality and timely administrative support, maintaining effective management of the Headteachers diary, and act as a point of contact both for individuals and stakeholders within and outside the school.

  • Be the first line of contact between the Headteacher and any phone calls, requests from staff, students and visitors.
  • Ensure an exemplary customer-focussed reception to the Headteacher's telephone callers, and where appropriate solve problems and queries without reference to the Headteacher
  • Have conversations with staff as required on behalf of the Headteacher and use initiative to deal with urgent or difficult situations.
  • Coordinate Headteacher’s diary and daily schedule, ensuring they are manageable and kept up to date with documentation provided to the Headteacher in advance.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Headteacher including drafting responses to correspondence received, printing off documents, proof reading, preparing documents for signing and reading as well as maintaining an accurate filing system.
  • Attend and minute meetings where required, type up, circulate and file all agendas and minutes for meetings involving the Headteacher.
  • Keep track record and follow-up on actions from various actions lists.
  • Assist in the collation and preparation of management information and reports as required by the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Governors

  • Excellent organisation, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to approach confidential matters with discretion, sensitivity and diplomacy.
  • Ability to liaise confidently with senior management, staff, parents and the wider community.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, approachable manner.
  • Computer literate – good skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • An understanding and appreciation for confidentiality and safeguarding.
  • Ideally will hold a Current Enhanced DBS- or be willing to have one taken out.
