Business Development Manager

Property Services/Social Housing

Up to £80,000 Plus Package

Our Client, a growing SME Contractor that are based in Greater London, are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

Within this role, you would work hand in hand with the Bid Manager to introduce new clients, consultants and frameworks in order to provide a gradual business growth ensuring the best clients and contract opportunities are presented, bid for and successfully secured. My client have enjoyed a steady year on year growth over the past five years.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include;

Reporting to the directors of the business

Be responsible for the overall work winning process and department.

Full lead on business development, identifying new clients/ projects to achieve business growth targets.

Gaining and building client/ consultant intelligence within our target market.

Actively track leads and manage the tender portals and present suitable opportunities to the company directors.

Lead the bid team and ensure it is correctly resourced to achieve our business objectives.

Assist and look over for PQQ's/quality bids for new projects, analyse feedback and implement improvements.

Lead the bid process through planning to completion via liaising with internal staff and external consultants to collate relevant information.

Be the company lead at networking/industry events to promote the business.

Co-ordinate external freelance resources as and when required.

Building and implementing a marketing strategy. Lead on branding/corporate identity to present a consistent and professional image across the business.

Manage and co-ordinate internal business events.

Oversee and implement a company CRM system

Lead on reporting of the bid team, providing strategic feedback, highlighting areas of concern etc. 

Ensuring the bid team develops and improves. 

My client are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of social housing and experience as a BDM in this sector. Ideally working for a tier one or 2 contractor, with strong experience and knowledge of successful BD and Bid strategy.
