Shifts: Double DAYS Mon-Fri 6am-2pm - 2pm-10pm

The role:

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a huge manufacturers with a number of sites in the UK. Our client is eager to hire a skilled shift engineer to join their ever-growing business. They are looking for someone experienced in PLC and controls systems

Purpose: To ensure engineering and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner and that all appropriate corrective actions are implemented.  To ensure that all standards of housekeeping are maintained in line with Good Engineering Practice, the Company Quality System and Health & Safety procedures.

The role of Shift Engineer :

Strong attention to the planned and preventative maintenance on site, ensure legislation is followed alongside policies and procedures.

Comply with the sites electrical maintenance strategy with all planned maintenance and improvements to be effectively completed.

Comply with legislation around H&S around wiring regulations amongst other things

Consistently drive improvements to the machinery used for production and maximise usage of the plant. Liase with other stakeholders to ensure this is done effectively

Tend to automated machinery with electrical and PLC knowledge.

To grow a good knowledge of the site and processes while working closely with different stakeholders within the site to propose plans to projects that emphasis efficiency and H&S.

  • Multi-skilled engineers; Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent electrical engineering)
  • Suitable and relevant engineering(food manufacturing primarily)
