TimePlan are working with a North London based Secondary School who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher for a long term assignment to start in September.

About the Roles:

TimePlan are looking for passionate and committed Food Technology Teacher to join this busy North London based Secondary School. This small SEMH Secondary Provision works with pupils aged 11 - 16 who have SEMH. The school has 50 pupils on roll with the room to extend their intake over the next few years. They have a very close relationship with the family and pupils that they support and their nurturing environment is also extended to their staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver outstanding Food Technology lesson to KS3 - KS4 Students.
  • To be aware of individual students' needs, whether they are academic or social, and liaise with Support Staff and outside professionals when necessary.
  • Manage challenging behaviour according to school policy in order to maintain an environment consistent with learning.
  • Follow the ethos of the School by promoting high standards of all students and maintaining high expectations both in and out of lessons.

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching KS3 - KS5 Food Technology to secondary aged students
  • QTS is desired but not essential for this role as the school are open to considering UNQ Teachers/ Instructors for this role.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
