A prestigious multi-disciplinary construction consultancy is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Principal Designer BSA 2022 to join their dedicated team.
Known for its excellence in delivering projects across residential, education, commercial, industrial and healthcare sectors, this consultancy is offering an amazing opportunity for a Principal Designer to grow their career and knowledge within the new building regs, with the support of a highly knowledgeable team.
Principal Designer Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 regulations and other relevant legislation
- Develop and review Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) and Pre-construction Information (PCIs)
- Manage design risk and provide CDM advice to clients and design teams
- Conduct health and safety audits and inspections
- Facilitate CDM workshops and training sessions
The successful Principal Designer should possess
- A thorough understanding of the Building Safety Act 2022 and its implications on construction projects
- A background in construction or design with specific Principal Design delivery experience
- Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
- Membership with professional bodies such as IOSH or APS
- Proven experience working within a consultancy environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
