Exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join the Financial planning and reporting team of a high growth Fin-Tech business based in Manchester. 

As a Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the accuracy of the accounting records, management accounts and statutory accounts. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your accounting and business acumen and apply your knowledge and experience to improve controls and processes across the Finance function, distinct lines of work and projects within Finance and the wider business. 

Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensuring financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting records via the accurate posting of financial transactions and completion of month end reconciliations on key financial accounts and balances
  • Assisting with the preparation of month end management accounts and associated MI including key revenue streams, accruals and prepayments
  • Analysis and reporting of the performance of key revenue streams
  • Full responsibility for the preparation of other Group entity management accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end statutory financial statements including calculation of accounting estimates and handling queries and requests from the auditors
  • Responsibility for numerous key distinct areas of finance including due diligence and commission revenue
  • Opportunity to enhance processes and controls across the finance function and business
  • Providing support to the finance team and business across a broad spectrum of other work streams and ad-hoc projects
  • Providing support with areas of Financial Planning and Analysis that are required by the business.

  • Driven and ambitious with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fully Qualified
  • Be extremely organised and good attention to detail. 
  • IT Literate (Excel, Word, etc.)
