Introductory Paragraph:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Warrington. Our client is an industry leader in nuclear machinery, mechanical handling, heavy engineering and concept design. They require someone with expertise in FEA analysis as well as 3D CAD modeling who can work on their latest projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

Mechanical Engineering:

• BEng / BSc higher (or equivalent)in Mechanical Engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of physics principles such as mechanics and thermodynamics
• Nuclear or Heavily Regulated Industry Experience
• Experience in the mechanical design of Machinery, Mechanical Handling Systems, Hydraulics, Heavy Fabricated Structures, Landing Gear, Complex Mechanical Assemblies, Bulk Handling Systems, Oil & Gas Engineered Systems etc for regulated applications, such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Heavy Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Mining, Process Industry, Aerospace etc

Design Concepts:
Conceptualize complex solutions into working designs that meet specific project objectives while adhering to budgetary constraints

FEA Analysis:
Ability to perform Finite Element Analysis using software like ANSYS/ABAQUS/CosmosWorks/HyperMesh/Optistruct which helps analyze loads, stresses, deflections etc., under different operating conditions

CAD Modelling Software Proficiency :
Expertise required across Solidworks / Creo Parametric / NX CAD modelling platforms including surfacing techniques.


Responsibilities:

As a senior member within the company your responsibilities will include but not be limited too;
* Leading teams through each stage from conceptualization right up until completion whilst ensuring all regulatory requirements have been met at every phase.
* Work closely with clients providing technical input throughout various stages of development so that they may achieve maximum efficiency during operation timeframes.

For the successful Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, a salary up to £51k is on offer and this Lead Mechanical Design Engineer role is commutable from Warrington, Liverpool, Preston, Manchester, Salford, Crewe, Chester, Runcorn, Bolton, Wigan & St Helens and my client also operates a hybrid / remote and flexible working policy for its Engineers.
