A medium sized M&E consultancy who is hightly experienced in Building Services is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer based in Surrey. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and undertaking engineering designs, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. A variety of building services projects in residential, education, social housing commercial and health will need to be managed through conception to completion, providing project management and administrative duties. Successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license,

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To implement company procedures policy.
2. To carry out Mechanical design and project management of various types of building services projects in accordance with the company aims and policies.
3. To manage design team and provide Mechanical engineering support to all mechanical engineers.
4. Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
5. Maintain and expand client base.
6. Carry out MEP surveys and produce reports.
7. Carry out quality inspections of building services projects.
8. Monitor financial aspects of building services projects.
9. Formulate mechanical standards within the organisation.
10. To hold knowledge and be able to analyse IES thermal modelling results.

Experience of:
• Producing detailed specifications for HVAC
• Productions of design calculations using manual and software type
• Production of drawings manually. CAD experience essential
• Production of tender packages
• Carry out tender analysis of returned tender packages.
• Production of budget costings for all aspects of services
• Carry out site surveys.
• Carry out on-site project management.
• Production of condition reports
• Management of more junior staff.
• Direct Client Liaison
