Our client is an engineering firm based in Caerphilly who are looking for a permanent Engineering Administrator to join their expanding team. The office is full of friendly staff who are there to support you. There is long term progression available within the business and they are looking for someone to start ASAP.

This role requires accuracy and strong attention to detail when inputting data. You will be processing work completed by their engineers onto their internal system. For each part used and work completed there is a cost code, you will be entering all of those details to be able to put costs into an invoice to send to customers.

Engineering Administrator Benefits:

Engineering Administrator Duties:

  • Costing and processing engineer job sheets to send on to customers in proforma invoice form
  • Dealing with engineers, liaising with them in regard to the works they have completed
  • Processing engineering works completed accurately and efficiently
  • Inputting work codes and parts costs onto inhouse system to collate invoice amounts to forward to customers
  • Chasing suppliers and customers for purchase order numbers
  • Sending accurately collated invoices over to customers within specified timeframes
  • Checking any irregularities in regards to parts orders, time sheets or works completed with other internal teams, resolving any issues
  • General data input and other administration tasks as needed

Engineering Administrator Essential Experience:

  • Experience within an administration position that involves either invoicing/ raising purchase orders/ entering engineering timesheets
  • Experience of dealing with telephone enquiries and providing strong customer service
  • Experience of liaising other internal departments to resolve queries - confident on the telephone
  • Strong data entry experience - efficient and accurate
  • Computer literate - strong use of Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to plan and organise own workload
  • Work as part of a team
