Salary: £140 - £190 per day (based on experience)

GSL Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join one of its client schools in Tower Hamlets. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that every child receives a tailored and inclusive education. This role requires a professional who is enthusiastic about making a difference and is equipped with the skills to support and inspire students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff and parents.
  • Employ a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes students' confidence and self-esteem.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure effective support for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on progress and strategies to support learning at home.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in SEN.
  • Proven experience working as an SEN Teacher in a primary or secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
