Farmstar Ltd has 4 established depots serving the Yorkshire, North/South Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire areas!

We are currently seeking an Agricultural Service Technician to join the Farmstar Team based at our Brigg Depot!

As an agricultural technician, you will primarily maintain and repair a range machinery and equipment from the likes of Case IH, Kverneland, Manitou and many others.

Previous experience within Agricultural Engineering is preferred however experience from similar industries will be taken into account.

The main duties of the post are as follows:

-Ability to perform repairs and maintenance on agricultural machinery and equipment

-Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems ensuring that they are reported and rectified

-Carry out servicing work on the full range of machinery the dealership supports

-Carry out a wide range of testing on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical circuits

-Carry out pre delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment

-Completion of work-related administrative checks such as job cards and vehicle safety checks

-Promote the company’s Service department, to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction

-Willingness to do weekend work on a rota basis and extended harvest hours when necessary

- Demonstrate mechanical skills to troubleshoot and fix issues

- Fabricate components as needed

- Provide excellent customer service during on-site visits

To Fulfil This Role You Must Have:

- Experience with equipment repair and maintenance

- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring techniques

- Ability to operate a forklift safely

-Have knowledge, experience and a passion for the agricultural machinery industry (CNH knowledge would be beneficial but not essential and candidates from similar industries will be considered i.e. plant, automotive and construction)

-Relevant qualifications within the field of Level 2 or higher in Land Based Engineering

-A good sense of humour and a can do attitude with the ability to get the job done under pressure

-The ability to work autonomously on site and as part of a team

-The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and create excellent rapport with customers & suppliers

-Good communication skills, both written and verbal

-IT Literate with a keen eye for details

-A full UK Driving Licence

- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving

- Capability to fabricate parts when required
