Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant through Academics, you will be placed in diverse educational settings where you will:

  • Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional support
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students
  • Prepare and organise educational materials and resources
  • Assist in the grading and assessment of student work
  • Support students with special needs or those requiring additional academic assistance
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting student success
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Relevant educational qualifications (e.g., associate's or bachelor's degree in education or a related field) are a plus
