Compliance Administration Officer - SEN academic trust - £28k to £29k - Croydon / South London

A Compliance Administration Officer is required to join the compliance directorate at this academic trust for SEN.

This role will be reporting to the Director of Compliance, and will be responsible for undertaking administrative, financial, organisational processes within this area. Assist with the planning and development of support services to support the smooth & efficient running of the Compliance & Data Protection (DPO) services across the trust. The post holder is expected to support the development within the Compliance & DPO services across the schools and the Central Trust and to be willing to undertake further training as appropriate, and to participate actively in the wider life of school environments, including enrichment opportunities.

SALARY ETC:

  • £28k to £29k + benefits
  • This post will be office based at the head office, however you may be required to travel to schools within the Trust on occasion.
  • Location: Croydon / South London
  • Start: ASAP
  • This is a permanent job, however they are also happy to consider someone on a temp to perm basis.
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, office based hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have full rights to work in the UK
  • Experience of development, management and operation of administrative systems.
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in relevant discipline.
  • Full working knowledge of relevant polices/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
  • You will need to have / agree to have an enhanced DBS check for this role.
  • Very good numeracy/literacy skills,
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
  • Excellent telephone manner and face-to-face skills.
  • Able to manage and prioritise conflicting demands and deadlines.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • Deal with complex admin/reception/visitor matters.
  • Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service, systems, procedures and policies.
  • Assist in arrangements for daily, weekly, monthly and annual events in key Compliance and Data Protection
  • Supervise, train and develop staff as appropriate.
  • Monitoring FOI, Information and DPO email inboxes
  • Manage manual and computerised record/information systems.
  • Analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required.
  • Undertake typing and word-processing and complex IT based tasks.
  • Provide personal, administrative and organisational support as directed. This may involve support to other areas.
  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Director of Compliance and DPO.
  • Complete and submit complex forms, returns etc., including those to outside agencies e.g. DfE, annual asset & other compliance checks and reports, and maintaining up-to-date records in between.
  • Admin of finance related tasks ie raising purchase order requisitions, dealing with invoice, delivery and payment queries for purchase order & procurement card and petty cash purchases.
