Calling all Construction Managers!

I'm currently working with an amazing client who is looking for a Construction Manager with experience in railways and civils projects and is local to Birmingham.

Job Title: Construction Manager

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum plus additional benefits

Construction Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Develop project plans, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
• Supervision: Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Contract Negotiation: Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
• Team Leadership: Manage and motivate construction teams, providing guidance and resolving conflicts to ensure project goals are met.

Construction Manager Competencies:

• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams, providing direction and guidance to achieve project objectives.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Communication: Clear and effective communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in construction methods, materials, and building codes to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Planning and Organization: Strong project management skills to plan, prioritize, and manage resources efficiently to meet project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications Required:

• Experienced background working for major contractors on Civils or Rail Projects.
• Demonstrable experience working on major projects.
• Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card or Similar.
