Engineering Supervisor

Alexander Steele is working with a fast-growing food manufacturing business based in Leeds. Our client is looking for an experienced electrically bias engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. This will be a hands-on role with a large emphasis of having a positive presence in the factory floor. You will play a fundamental role in minimising downtime, ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on a wide range of production equipment, including mixers, conveyors, packaging machines etc.
  • Provide stand-in support for Site Engineering Manager
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
  • Lead shift hand over meetings and shift report
  • Conform to safety rules and apply good electrical and safety practices.

Background Experience:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Supervisory experience would be desirable
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
  • Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.

What’s on Offer:

  • Paying circa £41,500
  • Company pension
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Monday – Friday (6am – 2pm)
