One of the most exciting nuclear projects in the UK is looking for a structural design engineer to join a fantastic project in the defence sector.
- Job Title - Structural Design Engineer
- Location - Reading
- Contract Length - 18 Months
- Pay Rates - £59.03 per hour (Inside IR35)

Daily Deliverables:
- Ensure that the design intent is managed and maintained throughout project lifecycle
- Ensure that codes are always worked to and maintained.
- Work within a multi-disciplined team to ensure all disciplines are all considered.
- Review, escalate and challenge all design drawings and ensure the project is always at the forefront of consideration
- Work within project scope and guidelines
- Monitor and assess design concept and competence
Key skills and Desirables:
- Experience in a structural design role
- Experience in a highly regulated environment
- Experience in design change notices (DCN)
- Experience in seismic design (DESIRED)
- Experience in a nuclear capacity (DESIRED)
