Job Title: SEN Assessment and Review Coordinator
Location: London (Hybrid)
Hours: 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Rate: £25-£35 per hour
Requirements: Basic DBS required, relevant qualifications in education or social care, and experience in SEN assessments and reviews

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Assessment and Review Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) receive the appropriate support and resources through effective assessment and review processes. You will be responsible for coordinating multi-disciplinary assessments, reviewing education, health, and care plans (EHCPs), and ensuring that each child's needs are met to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the assessment and review processes for children with SEN, including EHCPs.
  • Work closely with families, schools, and external agencies to gather and collate information for assessments.
  • Monitor and review the progress of children with SEN, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on assessment findings.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all assessments and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or social care (e.g., degree in Special Education, Social Work, or related field).
  • Significant experience in SEN assessments and reviews, particularly with EHCPs.
  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic DBS required.
