Job Description:

We are currently looking for a teacher for a Year 1 class teacher role starting in September 2024. This is a maternity cover.

This role is working in a Primary school in Cheltenham teaching a Year 1 class - full classroom responsibility including planning is required.

This is a primary school with two form entry so you will be part of the Year 1 team and have another teacher working alongside you to support with planning. You will also have a TA in the classroom with you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach the children the curriculum, planning all classroom lessons.
• Be able to adapt lesson plans to work with different children needs and abilities.
• Provide feedback to parents, the school and the agency at the end of the day.
• Managing behaviour and maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Reports, parents evening and otheradditional responsibilies may be required.

Requirements:

• You must have a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS etc)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive and compassionate attitude towards students
• A valid right to work in the UK
