We are supporting a fast-growth pharmaceutical business with the hiring of an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team. *** You must have worked within the pharmaceutical industry***

You will be working directly with the Financial Controller. This opportunity would suit someone who wants visibility within a business and make a direct impact day-to-day. It is a dynamic environment that will require someone that is keen to learn, agile to the business needs and enjoys a proactive approach.

This role is a dual position responsible for inventory and monthly management accounts and analysis. You will take responsibility for demand planning and ensuring smooth supply chain. Acting as a business partner to all departments of the business, supporting and driving the business whilst ensuring financial controls are maintained.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Preparation/consolidation and management of the Business Plan and Demand Plan processes as per the deadlines and procedures established by HQ.
  • Forecast future demand at line level by close collaboration with business.
  • Management of the inventory to ensure accuracy and healthy stock levels.
  • Managing goods supply and overseeing stock movements through contacts with suppliers and third- party logistics provider and wholesalers.
  • Preparation of the month-end P&L including variance analysis, Gross Margin by product analysis and variance detail according to the deadlines and procedures established by HQ.
  • Assist in the consolidation of the monthly results (management information).
  • Provide insightful financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
  • Analyze operations KPI's and propose areas of improvement.
  • Analyze, follow, and maintain procedures for management reporting using a variety of tools
  • Work in coordination and contact with Global Finance and Supply Teams.
  • Assist in preparing and updating different presentations that will provide business advice to the BU.

To be considered:

  • Education: Degree level, Qualified or nearly qualified accountant
  • Experience: +5 years of financial/supply chain experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Personal skills: Strong attention to detail with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. It is essential that you can manage a high volume of work with conflicting priorities and deadlines and be able to work independently.
