Salary/Rate:
£18,000 - £19,500/annum

A client of ours in the Witham area are recruiting a Credit Controller to join their team. This is a part-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.30am - 2.30pm and paying up to £19,500 per annum (£27,000 FTE) depending on experience.

Reporting to the Finance Director, key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Debt collection via phone, email and letter.
  • Responsibility of new account opening procedure.
  • Completing relevant journals in ERP system.
  • Create and distribute regular Aged Debt Reports.
  • Complete monthly statements for all customers.
  • Conducting regular credit checks on all customers.
  • Resolving problems in relation to invoicing and payments.
  • Reconciling month-end accounts ensuring all cash receipts are allocated correctly and timely.
  • Report to management on outstanding issues, whilst highlighting potential debtor problems.
  • Daily banking including taking credit card payments.
  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting to Management.
  • Any other duties as required.


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Credit Controller position:

  • Previous credit control or accountancy experience
  • Experience in chasing/managing outstanding commercial payments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient within the Microsoft packages, specifically Excel.
  • Highly organised.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
