Description

We are working with a FMCG Manufacturer who are looking for a QA Technician to join their team based in South Manchester.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment to various testing standards.
  • Working with and under supervisor of the QA Supervisor and alerting the QA Supervisor of ongoing problems.
  • Inspecting raw materials to ensure consistence and integrity.
  • Complete raw material, packaging and factory specifications.
  • Root cause analysis.
  • To ensure the filling out and maintaining of any paperwork required.
  • Complying with any and all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product.
  • To ensure good hygiene and housekeeping standards are employed at all times.
  • To perform accurate analysis of the product, process and packaging to determine its suitability for purpose.
  • To work with all team members to use their skills and knowledge to identify problems and implement opportunities.
  • Being aware of the individual product requirements and demonstrate the ability to identify problems.
  • Communication between QA Supervisor, QA Manager and Production teams

Qualifications, Experience and skills

  • Strong analytical and mathematics skills
  • Willingness to work in noisy environments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of QA systems
  • Food Safety & HACCP

Schedule

  • 12 hour shifts, Days and Nights
  • Average of 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts of 2x 07am-19pm & 2x 19pm-07am followed by 4 off.
