Tradewind are recruiting for a Maths Teacher!

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable & resilient Maths Teacher to start in September 2024 at a secondary school in Trafford for children with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH).

The Role

• Maths Teacher for secondary aged pupils with SEMH needs at high school in Trafford.
• Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
• Start ASAP, long term, expected to continue until at least July 24.
• Excellent pay up to £220/day DOE.
• Paid PAYE via Tradewind. We don't use umbrella companies.
• Equal pay to what the school would pay you on contract from the 13th week onwards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Secondary Teacher of Mathematics.
• You will need positive confident classroom management skills.
• You must be able to differentiate lessons to the differing needs & levels of students.
• Students will be of mixed ability, age and backgrounds.
• You will need to work closely with your TAs to managing challenging behaviour while engaging, motivating & building strong relationships with your pupils.
• You will also need to collaborate with school management, parents and outside professionals.

The School

• Secondary SEMH school in the Trafford area for children aged 11-16.
• All students have an EHCP for Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, SEMH.
• Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils including TA support.
• Students academic attainment is at lower levels than expected for their age.
• Experienced & supportive management.
• Collaborative teamwork atmosphere.
• Focus on safety, inclusion and holistic outcomes for students that prepare them for the next stage in their life.
• Easily accessible by car, bus or train.

• Hold QTS Status or QTLS.
• Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to pay for a new one).
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
• Minimum of two professional references checks.
• Provide a CV with full education & work.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
