Invision Recruitment is partnered with a Leading, Award Winning Residential Developer that focus are focused within London and the Southeast, whilst having a huge presence in surrounding counties and the East Midlands. Currently, they turn over close to £900m annually, whilst being on tract to achieve over £1 Billion by the end of 2024.

Project Details:

You will be the Commercial Lead on a New Build Scheme based in East London. The scheme will consist of circa 800 units, delivered in phases for a wider regeneration plan. Phase 1 consists of close to 160 units across 5 RC Frame low to mid-rise buildings up to 9 storeys in height. Addition to this, there will be public realm works, car parking, landscaping, highway works, etc in order to ensure modernisation on this regeneration plan.

Key Responsibilities (Not Limited To):

• Commercial Leadership: Provide strong commercial leadership, overseeing all aspects of financial management, contract administration, and risk management for the project.
• RC Frame Experience: Utilise your expertise in RC Frame construction to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
• Financial Management: Produce contract sum analysis and cash flow, ensuring a positive cash flow is maintained for the project. Prepare, agree, and issue valuations to maximise cash position.
• Subcontractor Management: Maintain sub-contractor valuations and payments in line with the subcontract conditions. Ensure timely placement and execution of sub-contract orders.
• Cost Control: Contain, control, and accurately report past costs and future financial projections. Produce accurate and timely Cost Value Comparisons (CVCs).
• Design and Risk Management: Proactively work with Production & Technical Leads to identify risks within the programme and design. Attend and participate in design meetings.
• Mentorship: Mentor and develop potential trainee/assistant surveyors, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills.
• Final Accounts: Agree and issue final accounts to subcontractors and clients, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

• Strong commercial background with experience working with a Main Contractor.
• Experience Leading large-value schemes from inception through to completion.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Full understanding of the financial and contractual structure of construction projects.
