About Agratas
Agratas is a global battery business within the Tata group. We are rapidly scaling up our operations to pioneer the design, development, and manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) at our state-of-the-art gigafactory in the UK.
The Team
The Capital Projects team is responsible for building the Gigafactory that will house our production operations, taking the site from a brownfield to a fully-built factory. The team will interface with every element of the business to get this done successfully. The PMO and Project Control team is responsible for supporting the wider Capital Projects team with project management rules, tools, techniques and training and supporting the senior management with data, information and insights to facilitate rapid, accurate decision making and enable us to hit our targets.
The Role
The PMO Manager will report to the Senior Manager PMO & Project Controls and will have a flexible remit within the Project Management Office for the Capital Projects UK portfolio including the construction of the UK Gigafactory in Somerset and the surrounding infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Management: Integrate all projects and milestones into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), analyse information, monitor progress, and communicate updates.
- Risk Management: Own and refine the Capital Projects Risk Management Plan, provide training, report on risk exposure, monitor mitigation plans and conduct audits.
- Change Control: Lead the change management process, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, manage change orders, and monitor trends.
- Reporting: Develop and implement standardised reporting processes, create dashboards, and analyse data to provide actionable insights.
Essential Experience
- Extensive project management experience in a large-scale project environment, construction experience is highly desirable
- Due to the to maturity of the organisation, you will need to be comfortable working with ambiguity and work in a flexible way
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Tech savvy and familiarity with the latest project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana, MS Project, etc).
- Previous experience in a scheduling, reporting, cost & change control, or risk management role in a construction environment, ideally with relevant qualifications
Desired Experience
- Experience working on large-scale projects and programmes from inception to completion
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and various stakeholders
- Experience with governance, policy, and process improvements in project settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, issues, and provide actionable insights.
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in schedules, reports, and risk assessments.
