What Are We Looking For?

Our Operations and Maintenance team in Aberdeen is looking for several Mechanical Fitters to join us on a permanent basis as part of our continued expansion of work. These positions would entail covering multiple sites across the North East of Scotland, including projects in Aberdeen and Fraserburgh, aiding in the maintenance and upgrade of key Scottish Water projects.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Dismantle and re-assemble mechanical assemblies, including pumping systems.
  • Inspect equipment and identify faulty components.
  • Ensure quality, environmental and health and safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant and equipment.
  • Ensure safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained to a high and safe standard.

What Do You Need?

  • SVQ OR City and Guilds Qualified to Level 3
  • Possess a mechanical understanding and knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Hydrostatic systems.
  • The ability to understand and use schematics and maintenance drawings to analyse, assess, and find faults within these systems.
  • To be organised and have the ability to plan a sequence of events, which are required to remove and reinstall components within a working system.
  • Capable of self-checking work and to possess high personal standards with respect to Environment, Quality and Health & Safety.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
