Job Title: CMM Programmer - Plastic Injection
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, with the ability to create and write CMM programs. The CMM Operator will be responsible for using manual CMM checking arms, aligning and inspecting fixtures to car line values, and making manual adjustments to fixtures to achieve results within tolerance.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and Interpret 2D Drawings & 3D CAD Models: Ability to understand and work from detailed technical drawings and CAD models.
Create and Write CMM Programs: Develop and write accurate programs for the CMM to ensure precise measurements.
Use of Manual CMM Checking Arms: Proficient in operating manual CMM checking arms to measure and inspect parts.
Align and Inspect Fixtures: Ensure fixtures are correctly aligned to car line values for accurate measurements.
Manual Adjustment of Fixtures: Make necessary manual adjustments to fixtures to maintain within tolerance results.
Conduct R&R and Bias Studies: Knowledge and application of Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) and Bias studies to validate measurement systems.
Basic Toolroom Hand Skills: Utilize basic toolroom hand skills to assist in fixture adjustments and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Experience in reading and interpreting 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD models.
Proficiency in creating and writing CMM programs.
Skilled in using manual CMM checking arms.
Experience in aligning and inspecting fixtures to specific values.
Ability to manually adjust fixtures to achieve desired tolerance results.
Knowledge of R&R and Bias studies.
Basic toolroom hand skills are an advantage.

Technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Education and Experience:
Relevant technical certification or diploma in a related field.
