Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a PPM Engineer to provide comprehensive maintenance and servicing solutions within the West Midlands region. This role involves working with a variety of clients and security systems, ranging from simple standalone setups to large multi-site integrated solutions. The primary focus will be on Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm systems, and Warden Call systems, though responsibilities may shift based on operational needs. The ideal candidate will be attentive to customer requirements, able to meet predefined time limits, and committed to maintaining our high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, while meeting agreed-upon KPIs. While the primary work location is within the specified region, occasional travel to other areas or company branches may be required.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform planned maintenance and minor repairs on Fire Alarm systems and Emergency Lighting, with occasional work on Warden Call systems.

2. Deliver a reliable, courteous, efficient, and effective service.

3. Uphold the company’s positive image through high standards of dress and customer communication.

4. Electronically update the service system with a comprehensive report at the completion of each service visit.

5. Ensure company vehicles and tools are clean and well-maintained.

6. Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and a willingness to assist colleagues and customers.

7. Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure test equipment is in good working order.

8. Accurately diagnose and report faults as required.

9. Complete necessary administration and maintain accurate records.

10. Adhere to Health & Safety legislation and guidelines.

11. Meet both client and company targets.

12. Provide your own basic hand tools (specialist tools will be provided).

Person Specification:

Essential:

- Basic knowledge of electrical safety.

- Willingness to be part of a team and work flexibly within it.

- A positive, can-do attitude.

Desirable:

- Experience working in the social housing sector.

- Experience in maintaining Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, and Warden Call systems.

Qualifications & Licences:

Essential:

- Security screening required for various sites, so a clean criminal record is necessary.

- Full Driving Licence.

Desirable: 

- C1 + E Driving Licence.

- IPAF, CSCS, PASMA certifications.

- FIA Level 1 & 5/FIA AO Foundation Course.

Competencies: 

- Ability to work on your own initiative and take direction.

- Excellent timekeeping and attendance.

- Exceptional record-keeping skills.

- Professional and friendly approach.
