Location: Mallow, Cork

Salary: €50k - €55k + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full-time, 39 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our client's established engineering firm specialising in bespoke fabrication and mechanical maintenance of components. They offer a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects.

The Role:

As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling metal products according to schematics, ensuring precision and quality.

Duties:

• Read and interpret product schematics and work on assembly instructions
• Verify dimensions and product specifications to maintain quality standards
• Ensure all required parts for assembly are present and identify potential issues
• Mark cutting lines on materials to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Fit, align, and tack all parts properly for assembly of metal components
• Maintain quality control standards and adhere to production schedules
• Test functionality of fabricated products and follow assembly safety standards
• Troubleshoot and stress test products to minimise issues or recalls
• Report and detail product malfunctions to maintain efficiency

Requirements:

• Previously worked as a Metal Fabricator or in a similar role.
• Experience working with metals and steels
• Ideally have 5 years of experience in fitting.
• Proven ability to accurately read drawings
• Previous workshop experience
• Hold a valid driving license
