CNC Turner

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Overtime Available)

Location: Harlow (Essex)

Hours:

• 5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
• 7am to 4:30pm (finish at 2pm on Fridays)

Benefits:

• 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays.

Our client is a leading precision engineering company that specialises in the production of high-quality components for various industries including, Medical, Aerospace, Defence, Electronics and Packaging.

Position Overview

• Reporting to the Managers for job orders to ensure workflow scheduling.
• Work with route cards to ensure scheduling, labour time and job tasks are put on records.
• Receiving and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches to manufacture components and ensuring the finished product is accurate and aligns the specification.
• Use gauges and measuring tools such as, vernier calipers and micrometres to meet tolerance requirements.
• Work as a team to ensure quality and production targets are met.
• Setting up, operating, and programming XYZ CNC Lathes.

Position Requirements

• Undertaken a recognised apprenticeship, BTEC, City & Guilds qualification in Manufacturing or similar industry.
• A time served machinist.
• Experience programming CNC Lathes.
• Excellent attention to detail, and ability to self-inspect own work.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances, maintaining the highest of standards while under strict deadlines.
• Be proficient in with using a variety of hands-on tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communicator and problem solver.
