We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in the Llanidloes area. This is a Permanent position with a starting salary of £40,000 per annum (weekly basic £769.23). The working hours are as follows:

• 4 on 4 off Rota – 05.00 – 17.00
• Over time after 48 hours will be paid overtime rate at 1.5
• Weekly call out retainer/standby payment of £28.84 for week (equating to £1,500 per annum) will be paid every week regardless of holidays or sickness.
• If called out, you will be paid a minimum of 4 hours pay at flat rate regardless of the hours done.
• If more hours are done these will be paid flat rate for the number of hours work.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Carrying out ongoing preventative and emergency maintenance work throughout the site
• Daily equipment check for production line machinery ( hand power tools, power packs, gearboxes/drives, rise/fall platforms)
• Assist operations and office staff with requests for maintenance repairs.
• Attending and resolving emergency breakdowns as they occur
• Working to get equipment serviceable in a timely manner.
• Carry out tasks on maintenance repairs list in priority order.
• General building maintenance (gates, rails, flooring, household maintenance, lightbulbs, washers, general welding repairs).

• The ability to work under extreme pressure if, i.e. an entire production line is shut down.
• Willing to work unsociable hours when required.

• The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• The tact, diplomacy and sense of humour required to deal with people in stressful situations and provide confident assurance.

Experience and Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of the relevant technology
• Experience in a similar role required.
