As the Chemotherapy Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Specialist in SACT, providing education and support.
  • Ensuring the cancer team delivers quality care and adheres to safety compliance.
  • Providing direct line management and supervision of the chemotherapy team.
  • Developing practice in the assessment of health and wellbeing needs within cancer services.
  • Delivering SACT and non-SACT treatments to cancer patients.
  • Supporting the development of strategies and policies for cancer services.
  • Leading on quality improvement and offering advice and support within cancer services.
  • Overseeing ongoing training and monitoring of UKONS 24-hour triage.

The ideal Chemotherapy Team Lead will have:

  • Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in SACT administration and cancer care.
  • Recognised qualification and ability in SACT delivery.
  • Accredited teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Previous management experience guiding successful teams.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office, internet, and email.
