£35,000 - £39,000/annum

The Odin Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced and professional Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their customer based in the Lake District.

Reporting to the Senior Projects Manager, this is a full time permanent opportunity. Hours of work 0800-1600 Monday to Friday.

Your relevant experience will enable you to be a capable person for all aspects of Electrical Maintenance whilst on site. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, improvements and fault finding for the entire site- this includes machinery, controls and all plant. All installs, remedials and maintenance will be documented within the maintenance management systems.

On a daily basis you will discuss and prioritise the outstanding tasks with the Shift Electricians, Engineering Manager and Production Team Leaders. In addition to this, you may also receive short notice for urgent tasks within the plant.

You will be expected to produce administration reports detailing Electrical logs, work requests and Permit to Work Certificates. In addition to this you will also be required to keep data for portable and test certificates, shift reports, current installation schedules and time sheets.

You will-

respond quickly to breakdowns, carry out fault finding and diagnostics of electrical equipment.

identify, agree and modify plant to maintain efficiency and lessen downtime.

be compliant to IET regulations.

You MUST -

  • have an electrical engineering background (with recognised qualification)
  • have a minimum of 3 years' Industrial experience
  • have fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
  • be comfortable reading electrical engineering diagrams.
  • be flexible within the 2 month shift patterns and be able to cover for headcount shortfalls.
  • have some knowledge of PLC systems ie. Siemens or Scada
